The Turbinado™ Set was designed to be clear and easy to read with a friendly personality, ideal for advertising and packaging in both text and display settings. It has nine typefaces and an elements package designed to work together. Included are three weights of brushed casual script, each with a dry version, two condensed all caps faces, another hand printed caps face and a set of over 100 brushed elements that include swashes, botanicals, shells, arrows, repeatable patterns and a few other doodads that play well with the fonts.

All of the fonts use the OpenType standard ligature feature to automatically differentiate consecutive lowercase letters and numbers –but using separate glyphs, rather than a single ligature so they can be set on a curve or colored separately, etc. Taking it a step further, all of the Turbinado fonts also automatically differentiate like characters that are separated by another letter when standard ligatures is enabled. The script fonts have alternate characters like swash glyphs for ends of words and a few ligatures too; single crossbar to unite the At and Att letter combinations etc. The two condensed faces also have a third set of less uniform glyphs that can be used to create a more quirky, fun and bouncy effect (see the ‘she sells seashells’ graphic above) when the discretionary ligature feature is on. I've included a couple other nifty features too, including smart apostrophes, so that script characters still connect when an apostrophe is used between them in common situations, and try typing a < and a 3, it may come in handy sometime ;)

The script fonts have 10+ lowercase t (and double t) crossbar alternates that can be selected from the OpenType glyph table manually, or you can enable the contextual ligature feature to automatically insert a bigger crossbar as the surrounding letters allow throughout a text box or document. Hello? Are you still there? :) If that’s not enough crossbar for you, enable stylistic set SS01 for even bigger, more whimsical crossbars. And for those intrepid typographers who would rather fashion their own lowercase t to custom fit a specific design, all of the lowercase t ascenders and crossbars are also available separately in the glyph table when t is selected, and can be combined manually.

As its name suggests, Multiple is a family with multiple font styles. The idea that sums up the concept behind the typeface is workhorse - the challenge was to develop a useful font fit for any scenario and suitable to any design needs: editorial design, packaging, branding, screen use, etc.

Multiple features soft, rounded shapes and large counterforms which make it well-suited for both text and display usage. The proportions are based on classic typefaces yet its design was specially created to provide a high degree of versatility.

Multiple contains different stylistic sets whose variety of glyphs provides a wide range of choices for any design project. Partly humanist and partly grotesque, Multiple comes with a number of font variants that will help you choose the style that will best meet your needs. The font also includes a serif version with the same number of variants as its sans counterpart. The sans version includes 4 stylistic sets while its slab companion comes with 3 sets, both available as separate alt family packages (ideal for those seeking ready-to-use alternate glyph sets). These alternate characters are also available as OpenType features in the regular versions.

Multiple comes in 5 weights - ranging from Extra Light to Bold - with matching italics, and contains a 395-character set that supports 207 different languages.

Multiple: one font, multiple faces.

Monroe was designed in 2010, but in 2013 the font’s designer stopped selling it. Eight years after its initial release, Monroe returns in a new and upgraded version — with improved drawing and spacing — which includes more weights as well as alternate glyphs.

Each font style has 819 glyphs and the whole set contains 394 characters which support 207 Latin-based languages. Monroe also includes 5 stylistic sets that offer a wide range of signs, swashes and discretionary ligatures, all specially made to add esthetic value to your designs. The family comes in 5 weights: Thin, Ultra Light, Light, Regular and Bold.

Tazugane Info is a screen-ready Japanese font family, that follows on the debut of Monotype’s first original Japanese typeface – Tazugane Gothic. It offers a more restrained personality, with calligraphic design details pared back to create a geometric letterform – a good alternative for designers looking for a matter-of-fact alternative to the warmer Tazugane Gothic tone of voice.

“While Tazugane Gothic fits perfectly when your job requires an organic and friendly tone of voice, Tazugane Info provides a more solid look,” says Kobayashi. “I hope that having two options will make it easier to choose an appropriate tone of voice to convey information or brand messaging.”

Its strokes create a smooth uninterrupted flow that’s designed for use on-screen. Although books, newspapers and magazines are traditionally set vertically in Japan, smartphones, information panels and car navigation systems are all set horizontally – and Tazugane Info has been tailored to this environment, featuring a new set of kana phonetic symbols.

Tazugane Info is available in 10 weights, and includes the complete set of kanji and latin found in Tazugane Gothic.

TT Rounds Neue is a new modern look at the once-popular TT Rounds and TT Rounds Condensed typefaces. At some point, we realized that the old TT Rounds could no longer cope with the modern requirements for typefaces, and we decided to completely rework them.

To begin with, we corrected the visual balance between bold and thin faces and revised the proportions of the letters. We also completely redrew all the glyphs of the typeface while significantly changing the design of some of them. Thanks to this, the typeface looks more modern and can be used even in a text set. In addition, thanks to improved hinting, the typeface is well optimized for working on the web.

To the standard and condensed subfamilies, we have added a new compressed subfamily, and now TT Rounds Neue consists of three widths variations. The number of weights was increased to 9, which together with Italics equals 18 fonts in each subfamily or 54 fonts in the total, and allows to greatly expand the possibilities of using the typeface. We want to emphasize the work done on Italics—it took us nearly a year to compensate for all the circles.

In addition, now TT Rounds Neue boasts a broad support of OpenType features, which the old versions could only dream of. Now you can use ligatures, a set of alternate characters, old-style figures, and many other useful features.
